How To Prepare a Picture Comment
The first thing you need to do is find a picture that you want to use from the internet. It must come from the internet! If you have a picture you want to use stored on your computer, or you want to embellish a picture stored on your computer, you will need to upload it to an internet photo hosting server, such as www.imgur.com or www.picmix.com. There are many photo hosting websites. Find one you are happy with. You will, most likely, need to edit the size of the photo, so you will need to use an image editor to do that, unless you have one on your pc, such as photoshop. You can also set up most image editors so you can take the internet address directly from there, rather than use a photo hosting website. I use both because that is just my Preference.
The optimum size for an image is 400 pixels wide. The length does not matter. I have used 600 pixel wide images with success, but I tend to stick to 400.
Here is how I do it.
I find a photo I like, and copy the address (select then Ctrl+C)
Then, go to pixlr.com, and select Advanced Pixlr E (there is no need to create an account)
Click on Load URL and then place your cursor in the field and paste the image address (Ctrl+V) and click Load
Your image will be loaded and ready to edit. Go to Image ... Image Size
Then change the width to 400 pixels and click apply. Your image in now ready to be downloaded to your computer
The image is now ready to be saved. Click on File, then Save ... Give your file a name and choose the format. I tend to use png mostly. Click Download. The image is now on your computer and ready to be uploaded to an image hosting website. I use imgur.com. If you don't want to use the images again, you won't need to register for an account, but as I sometimes need to go back to the images (especially for the purposes of being a guide), I have an imgur account.
If you don't want an account, go to Imgur.com.
Click on New Image
Upload your image by dragging and dropping or choosing the photo from your computer
Now, you have your image ready, all you need to do is right click and select copy image address.
