At The Party
When the party begins, you will receive a notification telling you that it has begun. You can either click on the notification (in your messages) or you can go to City → Party Center, then click on Go. You will enter the party. I suggest that you have two windows open - one for the party and one to do the missions. The Missions are done in your usual daily screen.
When you enter the party, you should see something like this ...
When entering the Party, collect your Welcome Gift. It's up to you whether you want to open it there and then (Consume), or whether you want to Store it in your inventory and open it later. If you choose the latter option, it will appear in your Inventory under My Lady.
Next, collect your Bonus and then do the Mission under the Missions Tab - see below.
You can go to the Gift Shop and buy a gift for the Hostess. Whatever you buy will be given to you also. There are no gifts for cash. They all cost emeralds or diamonds, but the points are better value than you would get in the Mall, Furniture Store or Pet Shop.
Once you have purchased an item, the Gift Shop will be closed to you for 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes is up, you can buy another gift.
You will see some locked items. These are items that you have purchased before, or items for a Fiancé. You will be able to purchase the Fiancé items only when you become engaged.
Just be aware that Furniture items are never locked and can be purchased twice, but you won't receive any points for the second purchase of the same item. Always check the points available before purchasing.
At the bottom of the screen, you will see tabs. These are what you will be using the most.
Schedule - where you can collect a Popularity Bonus every 15 minutes for the first two hours and Photographic Equipment every 15 minutes for the following three hours. Once the Party reaches its fifth hour, this is where you will write your speech to the engaged couple. Most people will write a simple 'Congratulations'. Once you have done this, press 'Send' and you will receive a further ten emeralds. About 90 minutes after the speeches end, all bonuses are Experience Points. Only collect these if you want to move up a level. I recommend against it.
Chat - This is where you can chat with other party goers. Just remember that this a public forum and anything you say can be seen by other party goers, even if they aren't chatting.
There are two chat windows, but most of the chat goes on in the party chat tab.
Guests - This is where you can see who is at the party and the invitees. Those who are at the party have a green light next to their names and are listed in alphabetically, by level. Those who are not at the party, are listed under those who are, and are also listed alphabetically, by level. The Tab also shows how many people were invited and how many are attending. In this instance, there were 539 invited and 435 of those people are at this party.
Missions - This is where you find the current Mission and where your Party Rewards appear when a Mission is complete. It's quite common for a Mission to finish and the Rewards to not appear in the Rewards window. This is a problem with the LP servers. You may need to refresh your screen a few times for them to appear. The Missions Tab should show how many times the Missions needs to be done and how many have been done. In this instance, the Mission requires 539 people to do the mission, and 528 have done it. Note that the amount of times the Mission needs to be done equals the amount of Guests invited. You only need to do each Mission ONCE, unless the Hostess says otherwise. It's up to the Hostess to control the Party. She decides whether to kick people out, whether you can do the Missions more times, whether the Mission is won or lost etc. It's her party and she paid for it. Don't be disrespectful. Many Ladies go into Chat and try to encourage others to do the Missions more times. They are rude and annoying, and often aren't doing any of the missions themselves. Don't be tempted! No matter how many times you do the Mission, you will only get one Reward! Again, it's up to the Hostess to tell you to do the mission more than once, or someone she has appointed. Only listen to the Hostess. I have known people to go to into chat and behave as though they are an appointed person. If the Hostess doesn't say so, then don't listen to them!
You many need to keep checking the count that shows on the Tab, as with the Rewards, the lag at Parties quite often has it showing a different number to the actual Missions completed. Refresh you screen often. Go into that tab to check. Here's what you will see ...
Parties are a good way to earn cash and emeralds. Do the right thing and you will be invited to other parties. Get a reputation for being an overdoer, spammer or just annoying, and you will struggle to get any further invitations. Club Presidents make a note of those people and they soon find they run out of options when it comes to finding a good club.
Be respectful and do the right thing by the Hostess!
